Today a new era began. We swore in President Joe Biden. Our nation is moving forward. President Biden has rejoined the Paris Accords, required masks on all federal property, and stopped construction of the southern border wall. Families have now been awarded further protection from eviction (rates have skyrocketed with the looming presence of covid-19 nearly a year later.) He also ended the travel ban Trump imposed upon some muslim countries.

As we step into a new presidency my hope is that we will not forget to keep fighting for what is right. We will continue to be steadfast in holding our government accountable.

Many people are expressing feelings of hopefulness today, and I am one of them. Stay safe and stay strong.
